Jami Conway grew up between Hood River and Portland, and, after a stint in Arizona, has returned to the Gorge, which she considers home.  

In high school, Jami found a passion for tennis (she’s always down for a singles match), backpacking, and, later, a love for roller derby. While roller derby provided a full contact, delightfully loud, team sport, she found that she needed the opposite: a no contact, often quiet, solo sport. Enter climbing. 

Jami’s first got to experience climbing at Brimstone. The height frightened her, but she quickly grew addicted to the confidence she found in conquering a fear and building strength. 

When she’s not slingin’ lattes at 10 Speed Coffee Bar in the mornings or climbing in the afternoons, you can find Jami rollerblading, training for a half marathon, shooting film photography or working on her portfolio in order to become a tattoo artist.
