Nathan Frankel

Nathan Frankel caught the climbing bug over a decade ago in the belay class at a gym near his home in the Bay Area, and climbed competitively through middle school and high school. After an intermission to earn a degree in Biology at Lewis & Clark, Nathan returned to the competitive climbing scene as a youth coach for the Multnomah Athletic Club. 

While Nathan comes to Brimstone with a strong background in competition, his true passion lies in getting to watch and facilitate joy and personal growth in the climbers he works with--regardless of climbing experience or ability. 

Outside the gym, Nathan loves to climb crumbly PNW rock (even more than the bulletproof California granite he grew up on), ski, backpack, climb mountains, find the best Thai food in town and hang out with Harris the kitten.
