Head Routesetter

Someone once called Molly Beard ‘a unicorn in the routesetting world’--presumably in reference to her status as the only female to hold the title of USA Climbing Level 5 National Chief routesetter, the highest level of certification USA Climbing offers. Molly comes to us with over 25-years of experience working damn near every job in the climbing industry. She’s set for over twenty national and international level competitions and teaches competition setting certifications for USA Climbing and continuing education style clinics to commercial route setters across the country. In short: we’re real spoiled to have her onboard.

When she’s not spinning wrenches or establishing new routes on real rock, Molly practices Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, weaves abstract tapestries and grows phenomenally beautiful vegetables and flowers. She dearly loves Hello Kitty (as well as real live cats), and intends to learn how to grow grapes.
