The mountains of the Western United States first lured this Southern girl in on childhood family vacations. From that time forward, Jeni Harris knew that, one day, she would live out here. 

In college, she set aside some money for climbing gear. She got as far as a harness and shoes before she decided to instead spend the money on river gear.  Over the past two decades, Jeni has worked as a multi-day river guide, a ski patroller and an eco-tour guide in Alaska. She has a special way of making people comfortable in situations outside of their comfort zones. The accent doesn’t hurt.

These days, Jeni loves to run rivers, ski and hike with her husband and their dog, Sadie. She still has that first pair of climbing shoes, and she’s stoked for them to see some more time on the wall.
